PRESS RELEASE

October 22, 2004

The Keri Chase Foundation is a Canadian registered charity under the Income Tax Act.  The Foundation provides financial assistance to organizations that help animals in our community and surrounding area.

This Registered Foundation was formed in memory of Keri Chase, who died in a tragic auto accident on November 24, 2001.  Keri had a love of all creatures and personally assisted many injured and lost animals during her lifetime.  The Foundation was formed in her memory to carry on her passion.

The Foundation has now been operating for three years and has accomplished much.  During the past few years, we have built a fund from generous contributors as well as contributed $11,500.00 towards local animal welfare programs, particularly in the spay and neutering programs.  These programs make it more affordable for loving families to adopt pets that would otherwise be destroyed.

Today the Foundation will be recognizing Bev St. Jean for her love of animals in rescuing numerous cats and dogs over the years.  She is presently housing 19 cats and 4 dogs, looking for loving families to adopt them.  The Foundation is presenting Ms. St Jean with a grant of $500.00 towards the construction of shelters to help assist her in this worthwhile cause.  The Foundations wishes her every success in the future.
