PRESS RELEASEFriday, June 16, 2006 - 11:00 AM – Office of Ken Boshcoff MP AT 126 Centennial Square – Thunder Bay Ontario Mr. Bryan Linklater, Manager of Walmart Thunder Bay, will be presenting to Mr. Ken Boshcoff, a Trustee of the Keri Chase Foundation, a cheque for $3,000.00 representing Walmart’s contribution to the sale of the 2006 Thunder Bay Superior Pet Calendar. Walmart is proud to support the ongoing endeavors of the Keri Chase Foundation and welcomes the opportunity to be a contributing force in the community of Thunder Bay. Walmart is proud to announce that in September 2006, the 2007 Thunder Bay Superior Pets Calendar will be available in the store as well as other retailers in Thunder Bay and area. Appreciation is extended from the Keri Chase Foundation to Walmart and Mr. Linklater for presenting such a positive image in the community. The Foundation is a registered Charitable Foundation and was formed on February 21, 2002 in memory of Keri Coleen Chase, who died in a tragic auto accident on November 24, 2001. Keri was born in Thunder Bay and through her short life of 42 years was forever salvaging injured and stray animals and birds of every description and either finding them homes, or returning them to the wild from which they came. Her love of animals has been an inspiration to everyone that knew her. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial assistance to qualified donees providing care and shelter to stray, lost and injured domestic animals, birds and wildlife. |
