PRESS RELEASE

 Saturday, September 8, 2007 - 10:30 AM

AT

Wal-Mart, Memorial Avenue Ė Thunder Bay Ontario

Walmart of Thunder Bay is hosting the release of the 5th annual 2008 Thunder Bay Superior Pets Calendar produced by the Foundation at 10:30AM.

Mr. Ken Boshcoff, Member of Parliament and a Trustee of the Keri Chase Foundation, will be accepting the first calendar at 10:30A.M.

Wal-Mart is proud to support the ongoing endeavors of the Keri Chase Foundation and welcomes the opportunity to be a contributing force in the community of Thunder Bay.

Thunder Bay pet owners submitted pictures and biographies of their pets, with the best featured in the calendar.  All profits from the calendar will be used to support stray, injured and lost animals in the Thunder Bay District and is again expected to raise approximately $10,000.00 towards this cause.

The Foundation appreciates the efforts of Wal-Mart, the various retailers of the calendar and the sponsors that make this project worthwhile and successful.

The Foundation is a registered Charitable Foundation and was formed on February 21, 2002 in memory of Keri Coleen Chase, who died in a tragic auto accident on November 24, 2001.  Keri was born in Thunder Bay and through her short life of 42 years was forever salvaging injured and stray animals and birds of every description and either finding them homes, or returning them to the wild from which they came.  Her love of animals has been an inspiration to everyone that knew her.

The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial assistance to qualified donees that provide care and shelter to stray, lost and injured domestic animals, birds and wildlife.  The goal of the Foundation is to provide annual assistance as well a building an endowment fund that will help us continue Keriís good works for years to come, to those who are so desperately in need and cannot speak for themselves.
